Directed by Easy Ferrer, Borrowed Life centers on Aina, played by Ella Cruz, a hardworking online RTW seller who has spent most of her life being mocked because of the birthmark on her face. Despite being constantly bullied and rejected, Aina quietly
dreams of a different life - one where she could finally feel beautiful and worthy of love.
Her world changes after meeting her longtime crush Sebastian, portrayed by Nikko Natividad, a famous model who moves into the building where she lives. Handsome and charming, Sebastian seems like the perfect man. But after Aina wins a contest for a date with him that ends in embarrassment, she feels he has become even more out of reach for someone like her.
However, fate gives Aina an unexpected opportunity after she discovers a mysterious beauty app capable of transforming her into a flawless woman named Isabel. Suddenly, beauty is no longer just in the eye of the beholder - it is now in the “app of the
beholder.”
Using her new identity as Isabel, Aina finally experiences the confidence and attention she has always dreamed of. Sebastian becomes drawn to Isabel, unaware that the woman he is falling for is actually the same girl who has been beside him all along.
