Ms. Eula Valdez plays Portia, and stars opposite Ashley Diaz, who’s playing Krissy, in The Mentor , a micro-drama now streaming on VMB.
Portia is well known and feared for being a no-nonsense boss, so everyone is puzzled when she hires Krissy even if there is currently no job opening at their company.
Krissy herself is surprised by this since Portia so bluntly points out during her interview that she knows Krissy was charged with murder.
Assuring Krissy that her secret is safe with her, Portia introduces her to everyone, telling them that she strongly believes in Krissy’s potential. Then, Portia proceeds to train Krissy personally. She says Krissy reminds her of her daughter.
This big break seems too good to be true. Krissy has a college degree, but given her criminal record, is Portia really sincere in helping her? What if she’s planning something sinister all along?
