The exemplary Wish 107.5 Bus that became a platform for big names and upcoming acts has become more dominant in bringing music on the road following its partnership with Thailand’s largest oil firm PTT that will provide as its official fuel partner.
PTT Philippines and Wish 107.5 closed an arrangement on Thursday, September 5, 2019 during the live program of “Roadshow” hosted by DJ Alice to establish the official partnership.
PTT Philippines President & Chief Executive Officer Thitiroj Rergsumran signed for PTT, while Wish 107.5 was represented by Jay Eusebio, Vice President for Marketing of Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International (BMPI), Inc., the mother company of the radio station.
PTT Philippines, the local subsidiary of Thailand’s PTT Oil and Retail Business, is into commercial and retail marketing of petroleum products in the country with 155 gas stations in Luzon, including Metro Manila, and Cebu in the Visayas.
PTT has been in the Philippines for more than two decades already following the deregulation of the oil industry. It has since been expanding in various parts of the country through the opening of retail station in various parts of Luzon and the Visayas. PTT also diversified into non-oil business with the Café Amazon, the most popular coffee shop chain in Thailand, that was introduced in the Philippines two years ago.
Café Amazon now has 15 stores in the Philippines, including one at PTT Edsa Veterans in Quezon City where the signing of the PTT-Wish 107.5 partnership was held.
“Our partnership with Wish 107.5 was brought not just by the popularity of the station, and the recorded performances on the bus that were uploaded on YouTube, but also because of our advocacies to reach out to people especially to the less-fortunate ones,” PTT Philippines Corporation President & CEO Thitiroj Rergsumran said during the “PTT Meets the Press” that was held right after the simple signing ceremony.
“While Wish 107.5 grants wishes of wishers, PTT similarly extend assistance to different communities in the Philippines such as livelihood, school supplies, and medicine, among others especially in far-flung areas.” Rergsumran said.
PTT Philippines Foundation President Paul Senador, meanwhile, said that PTT’s partnership with Wish 107.5 was also in support to the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) and the Filipino artists.
“Wish 107.5 is a global phenomenon in terms of the number of reach that its YouTube channel has attained. The number of subscribers and views tell it all. And you cannot go wrong partnering with them as its official fuel partner,” Senador added.
PTT Philippines Trading Corporation President & CEO Danilo Alabado was also present during the signing ceremony.
“We are proud to be the official fuel partner of Wish 107.5 and hopefully, this will be the beginning of a long-lasting partnership,” he said.
Meanwhile, Wish 107.5’s Vice President for Marketing Jay Eusebio thanked PTT Philippines for partnering with the station “although PTT is no longer new to us being one of our partners in many of our previous events”.”
“There is a synergy here. We have a lot of things in common especially the way we reach out to people. We really hope that this partnership will last for so many years,” Eusebio said.
As partners, the Wish Bus and the fleet of the company’s vehicles will be using PTT fuel to give both the bus and its fleet of vehicles the needed boost when travelling. PTT carries its Blue Innovation fuel brand with its Blue Gasoline 97+, Blue Gasoline 95+, Blue Gasoline 93+, and its Blue Diesel.
The signing of the partnership contract was also highlighted by the performances of Filipino R&B artists Bugoy Drilon and Daryl Ong inside the Bus that was station at PTT Edsa Veterans.
The Wish 107.5 Bus is the country’s first and only FM-on-wheels that has become the most-sought performance stage for both iconic and emerging acts. It is equipped with state-of-the-art broadcast facilities that took the traditional radio experience beyond the four-walled booth.
The Wish 107.5 currently has three buses, one for Metro Manila, one for the provinces, and one for Hollywood in the US.
