Glitter Critter Christmas 2018 at SM City North Edsa

SM City North EDSA makes the kids and the kids at heart experience Christmas like never before with its cute critters visitors from the outside world, the Glitter Critters. An original creation of SM City North EDSA, the Glitter Critter Characters  visit the mall from the outside world to experience Christmas for the first time and will take over SM City North EDSA in granting wishes and giving joy to Northern shoppers.

Days before the launch, webisodes were posted online sharing the journey of the Critters and their discovery of Christmas. In the 8 episode videos, these cute Critters of Planet Hapitu make their biggest discovery and found a spectacular place full of wonder and joy, SM City North EDSA.  Cap, the captain of the expedition and the wisest of all the Critters, looked for explorers from the citizens of Planet Hapitu to join him on his mission towards the happiest place in the universe.

After their arrival, the Glitter Critter Characters – Cap, Boom, Chum, Lox, Oola and Lala, Puchik, Ching, Twinkle, Mick, Baloo, and Baba explore the mall and discover Christmas and decided to make it even more festive and fun.  Cap together with the Glitter Critters transformed The Block and Skygarden into a happy play park in glittering lights where the Glitter Critters play around and enjoy the holiday season.

During the launch, SM COO Steven Tan and SM Supermalls Senior VP for Marketing Joaquin San Agustin lead the lighting of 39ft modern Glitter Critter Play Christmas Tree. Celebrities Aubrey Montero and Family, Princess Velasco and Family Camille Pratts and Family, Vanessa Matsunaga and Family, Dimples Romana and Family as well as other guests join in the fun and had their photo taken with the Glitter Critter Character mascots. The evening ended with a spectacular firework display and live concert featuring Autotelic.

The fun continues at the Skygarden with the Glitter Critter larger than life play park installations. The Glitter Critter characters lead by Cap with Boom, Puchik, Twinkle, Chum, Baba, Baloo and Lox invite everyone to PLAY with them at the KIDS Mountain. Baloo and Baba pilots the Space Shuttle Sleigh to deliver gifts and Christmas magic. Experience the thrill and Christmas chill with Glitter Critter characters Chum, Puchik, Ching and Mik at The Fun Christmas Roller Coaster Ride.

This Christmas, SM City North EDSA will make the world go RAWR as mall-goers will also experience the feeling of Christmas like the first time during the special meet and greet sessions with the Glitter Critter Characters on November 17, 24 and  December 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.

Other Christmas activities at the North include live performances from Ben & Ben, Keiko Necessario, Leanne & Naara and December Avenue in December. Santa Meet and Greet on December 2, 9, 23, 24, and 25.  NU Chorale Performance on December 7.  A Magical Science Show by Nutty Scientist on November 30 & December 16, and Fireworks Display on December 15, 22, and 29.

GMA Network and Rebisco Topps Sarap introduces new breed of talents via Toppstar TV

Kapuso viewers are set to experience Saturday mornings like no other as GMA Network and Rebisco Topp Sarap feature a new roster of talented kids in its newest musical-variety program Toppstar TV started last November 10.

The 30-minute program showcases the talents of the ToppStar kids as they show off their singing, dancing, hosting and acting skills. These kids came from the brand's on-ground talent search all over the Philippines which Rebisco started in 2016 as the brand's commitment to celebrating the "topps" in each kid.

Every episode will feature segments such as Toppstar Performance where the kids will sing/dance to latest craze. Toppstar Spotlight which highlights their talent in interviewing as they interact with celebrity guests via fun interviews, unboxing videos and showdown. Toppstar Laughs shows off their comedic talent as they deliver Topp Topp jokes. In some episodes, the kids will play Pinoy-inspired games.

Each episode will have interactive bumpers in select segments and Topps Sarap product review by the kids to highlight the values that they will learn at the end of the show.

Sparkling Wild at SM AURA

This Christmas, SM Aura Premier takes customers on a stunning holiday expedition to the sparkling wild. Life-size installations of majestic creatures from the safari and glittering stars and lights in hues of gold and green found their way to the gigantic Christmas tree display at the mall’s Main Atrium. During the tree lighting ceremony, the audience was treated to an African-inspired ensemble, with a drum circle and dancers decked as the animals of the wild. The program was capped off by an elegant aerial dance display, signalling the lighting of the tree. 

Christmas is all about magic, and after

last year’s Under the Sea Digital Underwater Experience, SM Aura pushes the envelope of art even further by creating an immersive displayin partnership with Huawei Mobile Philippines called, “Prism of Lights.” Here, mallgoers can experience the interactive light show, an interpretation of the beauty and wonder of thepristine night sky. The exhibit is open to all for free, perfect for capturing those picture-perfect holiday memories.

Enchanted Christmas Woodland at SM SOUTHMALL

SM SOUTHMALL transforms into an Enchanted Christmas Woodland, unveiling the annual centerpiece on November 10, 2018. Watch the spirit of giving come to life as the premier mall of southern Metro Manila launches the holiday season with an interactive play production. 

The Enchanted Christmas Woodland tells the tale of Chestnut, a newborn gnome, and how she finds her place in the enchanted woodland. She realizes that the true meaning of Christmas is brought to life by the spirit of giving. Chestnut shares this discovery with her friends from Almanza Elementary School.

SM SOUTHMALL carries this message throughout the season with Santa's Woodland Workshop, his woodland factory inhabited by little gnome assistants. In the Crafts Corner, they teach children to give back to their parents and loved ones with heartfelt messages in written cards. To enter, each child may purchase a Bear of Joy and get a free one donated in their name to a child in need on Christmas Day.

A full line up of festive performances are in store for families to experience togetherness during the holidays. International artist In Real Life puts on a show on November 11, while Ballet Philippines brings its popular rendition of Snow White to the south on December 21. The children of Yellow Room Philippines share their talents on November 17, 24 and December 1; students of Ecole de Ballet Manila perform on November 25, December 2 and December 15.

Christmas Candy Cake at GREENHILLS

Ortigas & Company makes the holidays extra-sweet with the launch of the first and only Christmas Candy Cake at the ultimate shopping destination, Greenhills, which opens to the public on November 8.

 All set to delight the young and the young-at-heart from November 8, 2018 to January 6, 2019, the biggest Christmas Candy Cake, located at the VMall Lobby, will be filled to the brim with all the candy one can possibly dream of. On the Movie - It is the first time a filipino film has been shot in Iceland.  The team took the RingRoad and went around the country by car in seven days.

On Paulo Contis -  This is the first movie he has done after a long long time. Mainly known for comedy and drama, this is also the first time Paulo plays a leading man in a love story. 

On Alessandra - Now a producer, Alessandra is known for her quirky, off beat roles. From Kita Kita to 12, Alessandra proves to be an acting force with any story or any acting partner.

On Alessandra and Paolo -  They have been friends for a long time and have worked in various tv shows and projects.  Their natural chemistry is incredible,  they have fun and tease each other constantly.  

On Iceland -  This has always been Alessandras dream country.  She feels like it is her second home because she identifies so much with Bjork- Icelands Music Star Contribution to the world.

get to know Angelo De Alban

Senatorial candidate Angelo Castro De Alban was raised in Bulacan and grew up surrounded by people who are underprivileged. Due to his natural curiosity to heights, he had to undergo two head stitches surgeries for falling from three-floor high tree house and a mango tree. 

Angelo is from a family of lawyers and teachers. His grandfather is a lawyer while his grandmother is a public school teacher. His Father is also a lawyer and his mother, a former flight stewardess and purser with Philippine Airlines, is now a public school catechist. All his three other siblings and sister-in-law are all teachers.

He graduated as the High School Student Council President of St. Mary's College of Meycauayan, Bulacan in 1998. He proceeded to attend the University of Santo Tomas for his Bachelor's Degrees in Journalism, Law and Masters of law.

Angelo handles criminal and civil cases around the country travelling to Ceub, Palawan and Cagayan De Oro regularly. He was the lawyer for a group of public school teachers in Laguna victimized by loan sharks and lawyered for at least 200 security guards an won almost Php 4 million settlement for them. He also started teaching Philippine Constitution, Taxation and Tourism Laws in the University of Santo Tomas in 2008 up to the present.
