PTT is the official fuel partner of Wish 107.5 Bus

The exemplary Wish 107.5 Bus that became a platform for big names and upcoming acts has become more dominant in bringing music on the road following its partnership with Thailand’s largest oil firm PTT that will provide as its official fuel partner.

PTT Philippines and Wish 107.5 closed an arrangement on Thursday, September 5, 2019 during the live program of “Roadshow” hosted by DJ Alice to establish the official partnership.

PTT Philippines President & Chief Executive Officer Thitiroj Rergsumran signed for PTT, while Wish 107.5 was represented by Jay Eusebio, Vice President for Marketing of Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International (BMPI), Inc., the mother company of the radio station.

PTT Philippines, the local subsidiary of Thailand’s PTT Oil and Retail Business, is into commercial and retail marketing of petroleum products in the country with 155 gas stations in Luzon, including Metro Manila, and Cebu in the Visayas.

PTT has been in the Philippines for more than two decades already following the deregulation of the oil industry. It has since been expanding in various parts of the country through the opening of retail station in various parts of Luzon and the Visayas. PTT also diversified into non-oil business with the Café Amazon, the most popular coffee shop chain in Thailand, that was introduced in the Philippines two years ago.

Café Amazon now has 15 stores in the Philippines, including one at PTT Edsa Veterans in Quezon City where the signing of the PTT-Wish 107.5 partnership was held.

“Our partnership with Wish 107.5 was brought not just by the popularity of the station, and the recorded performances on the bus that were uploaded on YouTube, but also because of our advocacies to reach out to people especially to the less-fortunate ones,” PTT Philippines Corporation President & CEO Thitiroj Rergsumran said during the “PTT Meets the Press” that was held right after the simple signing ceremony.

“While Wish 107.5 grants wishes of wishers, PTT similarly extend assistance to different communities in the Philippines such as livelihood, school supplies, and medicine, among others especially in far-flung areas.” Rergsumran said.

PTT Philippines Foundation President Paul Senador, meanwhile, said that PTT’s partnership with Wish 107.5 was also in support to the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) and the Filipino artists.

Wish 107.5 is a global phenomenon in terms of the number of reach that its YouTube channel has attained. The number of subscribers and views tell it all. And you cannot go wrong partnering with them as its official fuel partner,” Senador added.

PTT Philippines Trading Corporation President & CEO Danilo Alabado was also present during the signing ceremony.

“We are proud to be the official fuel partner of Wish 107.5 and hopefully, this will be the beginning of a long-lasting partnership,” he said.

Meanwhile, Wish 107.5’s Vice President for Marketing Jay Eusebio thanked PTT Philippines for partnering with the station “although PTT is no longer new to us being one of our partners in many of our previous events”.”

“There is a synergy here. We have a lot of things in common especially the way we reach out to people. We really hope that this partnership will last for so many years,” Eusebio said.

As partners, the Wish Bus and the fleet of the company’s vehicles will be using PTT fuel to give both the bus and its fleet of vehicles the needed boost when travelling. PTT carries its Blue Innovation fuel brand with its Blue Gasoline 97+, Blue Gasoline 95+, Blue Gasoline 93+, and its Blue Diesel.

The signing of the partnership contract was also highlighted by the performances of Filipino R&B artists Bugoy Drilon and Daryl Ong inside the Bus that was station at PTT Edsa Veterans.

The Wish 107.5 Bus is the country’s first and only FM-on-wheels that has become the most-sought performance stage for both iconic and emerging acts. It is equipped with state-of-the-art broadcast facilities that took the traditional radio experience beyond the four-walled booth.

The Wish 107.5 currently has three buses, one for Metro Manila, one for the provinces, and one for Hollywood in the US.

PINOY PLAYLIST MUSIC FESTIVAL (PPMF) 2019: ITO AY ATIN, SARILING ATIN

Filipino-made music lives!
Once again, the BGC Arts Center with Sun Life Foundation, will celebrate Filipino-made music
across genres and across generations in the Pinoy Playlist Music Festival (PPMF) 2019!
Pinoy Playlist Music Festival will be held on Oct 11, 12, 13 and 18, 19 and 20. For 6 six nights in
the 3 performance spaces at the BGC Arts Center namely the Globe Auditorium, the Zobel de Ayala Recital Hall and the Sun Life Amphitheater, over a hundred artists will be performing to bring to the public, the depth and breadth of Filipino-made music that will cut across age groups and preference.

PPMF is the brainchild of singer/songwriter/producer Moy Ortiz. His idea strongly resonated with
the advocacy of talent manager/writer Noel Ferrer and of National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab. They approached the non-profit foundation, Bonifacio Art Foundation Inc (BAFI) that runs the BGC Arts Center, who agreed to work with them. Thus, PPMF was conceived as a Festival of Filipino-made music curated by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, Noel Ferrer and Moy Ortiz and managed over-all by the Bonifacio Art Foundation represented by its Managing Director, Maria Isabel Garcia.

Started last year, PPMF groups over 100 artist performances across 6 days in October for an
extravaganza of Filipino-made music across genres and across generations. “We loved working up
ideas and inviting artists for PPMF because we believe in the power of music to awaken our
senses. There is so much innovation going on in Filipino music-making and you just have to hear
them. We also had so much fun last year and we wanted to do it again this year and this time, with
a twist. ”, said National Artist for Ryan Cayabyab. “Mr. C is referring to the collaborations that we
have this year in a good portion of the performances. PPMF is a creative force to push Filipino music to flourish in these changing times,” added Noel Ferrer.

Moy Ortiz sums up the truth about music and what binds us all: “Filipino musicians are weavers of
culture. We cannot live without music.” Maria Isabel Garcia, Managing Director of the Bonifacio
Art Foundation, Inc., pays tribute to the PPMF Curators and the artists and the production staff:
“We owe artists the way we negotiate our everyday lives – not just joy and tragedy- but the larger
and immeasurable in-betweens of our emotions. PPMF is animated by Filipino artists who give us
those vital gifts to change the quality of our days and nights.”

This year, we will experience an exciting dimension as almost a third of the slots are shared or collaborations among various artists. This year, honorees will also be given a token of gratitude for
their contribution to Filipino music especially in music education and the 2019 Ryan Cayabyab Award for Musical Excellence will be conferred to one chosen artist this year, namely, Mr. Basil Valdez.

The PPMF Vision is to elevate the Filipino public’s consciousness that our own homegrown music
goes beyond being a mere form of entertainment but a living tradition - the binding “glue” that forms, strengthens and positively moves the Filipino community, thus rendering it vital and essential to keep on making and supporting Filipino-made music.

On Oct 10, a day before PPMF starts, Ryan, Noel, Moy will also conduct PPMF-X- their first-ever
interactive team teaching to 500 public school kids from Taguig which is the city where the BGC
Arts Center is located. They will cover topics from music and the brain, music as self-expression,
music as culture-making – all strung by musical sessions with Maestro Ryan Cayabyab.

Festival attendees can also shop for local art at the community art bazaar, BGC Art Mart, located at the Alveo Central Plaza of the BGC Arts Center.
